Front-End Web Developer, Freelance; San Francisco, CA (2006 - Present)

Front-end web development for individuals, small businesses, and non-profit organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area. Focused on standard-compliant HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, cross-browser compatibility (Safari/Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer), Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and quality assurance testing.

Web Production Intern/Contractor, FileMaker, Inc.; Santa Clara, CA (March 2008 - August 2010)

Developed, coded, and implemented marketing pages for FileMaker, Inc.'s flagship products (FileMaker Pro and Bento), as well as various pages throughout FileMaker.com. Championed compatibility fixes for Internet Explorer, including HTML and CSS debugging, and implemented a JavaScript solution to display transparent PNG images properly. Championed iPhone and iPad HTML, CSS, and JavaScript compatibility throughout FileMaker.com. Created a new preliminary design and layout for FileMaker Pro 10 and FileMaker Server 10 marketing pages.

Webmaster, HOT CHIPS; Palo Alto, CA (March 2006 - August 2008)

Published new content, performed site maintenance, and generated archival pages for a large technical conference website. Generated and linked numerous PDF documents for web distribution. Implemented streamlined workflows for improved speed and efficiency while upholding W3C standards.

Mac Specialist and Installer, Apple Inc.; San Francisco, CA (February 2004 - Feburary 2006)

Served as a key in-store resource for technical questions and product features, specializing in web development and hardware and software support. Performed hardware and software installations on customers' new computers, performed data migration from older Mac- and Windows-based systems, and managed software installation processes by creating software builds that cut updating time by up to 50%.
